DUBAI

Before I start todays To-Do-List, I'd like to mention how  pleasantly surprised of Dubai I was. I expected it to be way more business than holiday, but I spent beautiful an recharging days in Dubai and saw a lot of things. We stayed for 5 nights and 6 days, for us, this was just fine, but you could also plan a little longer and take day trips for example to Oman or Abu Dhabi.

HOW TO GET AROUND

Buy an NOL CARD and charge it at the first station or pick up offices so you can use the METRO. There are stations at some of the must see spots, but also buses will take you outside the city for example to the Miracle Garden and Global Village. You can also take a TAXI/CAB, they are really affordable compared to other cities.

JBR

Visit Jumeirah Beach Residences or short JBR. There's a BEACH WALK and you can find countless restaurants, a cinema and some market stalls, an outdoor gym, water action sports and so on. We stayed at a hostel at the 66th floor with balcony and beach view. It was an amazing location. You can RUN at the BEACH in the morning, there are Cafés, Hairdresser, Supermarkets and so on. Most of the luxury hotels are in this area too, maybe you can find a cool deal for your stay. The NIGHTLIFE is booming too and we were lucky to see almost every evening a giant firework.

SHOPPING, SKIING, SLEEPING

Organize your stay, unlike me. I was really just doing what I felt like and lost some time, but I didn't bother. You can visit THE DUBAI MALL and do some shopping or just stare at the giant AQUARIUM & UNDERWATER ZOO, the huge PLANET, INDOOR WATERFALL, DINOSAUR and many more way too big things. Just don't ask yourself why...I guess the answer is because they can. I really liked the LIBRARY or BUBBLE TEA Shop and yes, I did a little shopping. There's also the entry for BURJI KHALIFA and the ARMANI HOTEL. Plan enough time to get there if you take the metro. By evening you can also enjoy the DUBAI FOUNTAIN.

GLOW GARDEN

The GLOW GARDEN was so pretty and kind of corny, but also somehow romantic. It opens around 18.00. Make sure to go when it's dark, so you can see all the pretty light lanterns.

BEACH

Visit different BEACHES. I mean, when I was at one of the public beaches, I could enjoy the SUNSET all by myself it was lit dope. The KITE BEACH is pretty cool too, a little crowded from time to time, but worth to see and you can stroll along the beach until you reach the next or the next or the next beach.

WATERPARK

Visit a WATERPARK! There is the WILD WADI WATERPARK, but I highly recommend THE PALM, ATLANTIS. Watch out, the Train to the palm is not included in the NOL Card. It was a crazy experience and I'm still stocked. The Waterpark is pretty fun and we easily spent almost the whole day there, riding SLIDES, playing VOLLEYBALL and chilling at the BEACH. There are also restaurants and you could pay to play with DOLPHINS or SEALS.

MIRACLE GARDEN

I did the MIRACLE GARDEN and IMG WORLD on the same day. For me, I just can't miss an Adventure Park and I wasn't disappointed this time too. For the Miracle Garden - it was beautiful with all the flowers, but also really crowded. Even though I went right for opening hours, there was already a huge crowd of people. It was the first time I thought, that it was really touristic.

DAY TRIPS

Plan a DAY TRIP. For example; we went for Abu Dhabi, but there is also Oman which is really worth to see.

ACTIVITIES

Go SAND-BOARDING. You can also book a Safari Tour including different things like Camel Safari, BBQ, Quad Biking and so on, but you should definitively try Sand-boarding!

The Souks area is usually really crowded with a lots of tourists, but you should definitively visit this part too. Start with the GOLD SOUK and SPICE SOUK, take the Water Taxi to the other side and visit the historical District BASTAKIYA.

EXTRA

Take time to visit a MARKET. There are different markets in the Parks for example at Zebeel Park there is a RIPE and FLEE MARKET. You will find food, music and gentle people. It's nice to hang out.

NICE TO KNOW

The people are so polite, I almost had a guilty conscience because they were so friendly. Because of the economy and "affordable" workers you can find a lot of Filippinos there. Maybe that's why I really felt comfortable where ever I went. They are such nice and warm people and you rarely find such an amazing customer service somewhere else.

A friend I met at the hostel went for Sky Diving, there is also a huge Game Arena or Malls and of course the Camel Racecourse.
